Yes, that’s a cheesy title. But love sure is in the air for the month of February. Look at any TV channels; all shows/movies featured have everything to do with love or crushes. Even Disney Channel has some crush related programs all lined up! It’s all coz of the big V day. Feb 14. And it’s just next Saturday. It’s not that I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day when I am with someone, but I believe that if you’re truly in love, everyday is pretty much Valentine’s Day (gosh, that is just one cheesy statement).
Side track a bit: The one thing I don’t get it is when you see gals walk down Gurney Drive with their boyfriend holding a bouquet of flowers. Ermm… I could never ever make sense out of why ppl would do that. The worst is when the guy would be holding the flowers. I assume that the gal made him do that (but it could also be the gal bought the guy flowers… *shrug*).
Well, anyway, back to the original topic… Every restaurant has pretty much set up the whole Valentine’s Day menu. But boy, the dinner sure is pricey. It’s like one of those days where prices for flowers and fancy dinners are sky-rocketed high but majority of the couples are still into it. I don’t remember going to a fancy restaurant for a fancy Valentine’s Day dinner ever (hmm… does this sound wrong to u? guys just don’t take me out to fancy places! gosh… I must be a non-fancy material… SHEESH!).
Love sure is a funny thing. You go all crazy having someone to love, but you go all crazy not having someone to love. It’s a love-hate relationship with love itself. Despite experiencing failed relationships in the past, I still believe in a thing called love. Here comes me cheesy-ness about love. *ahem ahem*
I believe true love exist. I believe there is a person out there whom you can love for the rest of your life. I don’t know if I’ll find a person to love me back that way, but… a gal can dream. A relationship requires lots of hard work and effort. It’s not just about sitting around, waiting for things to happen. You have to make things happen if you want things to happen. Trust is important in a relationship – period. I believe in loving that one person with all your heart or don’t bother loving at all. You have only one life to live. There’s an extremely high chance for someone to hurt you when you open up and love someone with all your might, but believe me it’s worthwhile. But I think I can only afford to do it once. Cherish the person that is right in front of you. If that person means a lot to you, don’t let go. Certain people only come by your life once. If you think that person is absolutely remarkable and is the one you can love for the rest of your life, don’t let go without giving it your greatest fight. Dreams do come true.
There you have it. My shallow 2-cent quotes on love. As cheesy as it may have sounded, I am truly a believer of what I just quoted.
To all lovers out there, have a great Valentine’s Day. To all single ppl out there, may you find true love soon. I’m waiting too, so let’s all just wait together. Just hang in there.
