is it very wrong to be wrong?

I think there are a lot of people among us who do not understand the very fact that humans are not perfect; they make mistakes. To top that up, a lot of people do not understand that this very fact applies to themselves as well. We are humans, we make mistakes.

Almost everyday at work, I hear people trying so hard to defend themselves, creating stories that even a 5-year-old would know that it doesn’t make any logical sense, just to cover their mistakes, a.k.a. their asses. The thing is, people fail to understand that covering mistakes will not make you learn anything. Problems will not go away is you simply sweep them under the carpet. They are there. And they will come back and haunt you.

But then again, one actually need bigger guts to own up to mistakes as compared to lying and creating stories to cover it up. I think only cowards will lie, coz they can’t even admit to the wrong-doings that they did themselves. Will they excel? I think not. I believe in owning up, learning from the mistake, and moving on. No one is perfect. It’s only normal to get some scolding and beating up, but ultimately, it is the lesson that matters most. Suck it up and move on.

Well, it’s a whole other story if a person do not learn from their mistakes and continuously repeat the wrong-doings.

If only people are braver these days. Oh well.

i have a thing for giraffe

giraffe

Yes, I really do. See this giraffe? You’ve got to admit he looks absolutely adorable. I think he’s eating. Munching on some leaves. Okie, judging from the eyelashes, maybe he’s a she. Hmm.

Yes, I’m bored as well. :|

a little too many

I remember watching an episode of Oprah way back when, when a young Danish girl made a remark about the load truck amount of stuff Americans have in their lives. Her question was, “Why do you need so many stuff?”.

It made me ponder about my own possession. Do I have a lot of things that may just be something which are nice-to-have but not entirely necessary? With the science and technology advancement and the creation of many new things, I’ve got to admit I may have possession of a thing or two that may not be all that necessary after all.

In this era, we are focused at making life easier and more beautiful for us, e.g. gadgets to help us mop and sweep the floor, TVs that shows the sweat of footballers ever so clearly, smartphones with apps that are beyond ones’ imagination. I admit that some things that are made easier made a whole lot of sense. But others could just be making us a whole lot lazier. Lazy is never good.

Perhaps it is best to really think wisely before we spend. Possessing so many things may not be a good thing, especially if we don’t use it. I’ve read too many news about the economy turning worse after CNY. Being cash rich is best for now.

it is okay

toremember

I was looking at tumblr just yesterday when I stumble upon this poster quote. True, huh?

I believe that it is okay to make mistakes sometimes. No one human in the face of this Earth is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. The more important part to making this mistake is learning from it and move on. Besides, sometimes the things that we think is wrong, may not be all that wrong after all. It could just be someone’s view from a different perspective.

Fear will only hold us down and lead us to achieving none. Guess we’ve just got to fight that fear, huh?

Have a good Tuesday.

One Day

one day

It was indeed a nice book. The ending wasn’t the ending I was hoping for, but it was real. After all, death is part of life, right?

A lot of us live our whole life without realizing that the one we are looking for is standing right in front of us. I don’t know why we do that sometimes. This book tells that story, about how two souls have spent 20 years not being together, but were somehow there for each other. Well, one way or another. The sad part about this is that it took them 20 years to realize that they were meant for each other. That they were each others’ best friend. Still, it is better late than never, right?

It is a love story. Not those super romantic fairy tale like love story. But a love story to be remembered.
