f.r.i.e.n.d.s

I love sitcoms. I have always loved tv series that can give you a good laugh. My list of sitcoms-like can be pretty long ;) – everybody loves raymond, according to jim, my wife and kids, 8 simple rules, grounded for life, hope & faith, dharma & greg, how i met your mother, a guy, a girl & a pizza place, and the list will just go on and on, and if I insist on naming all sitcoms that I like, this would made the record for the longest post in the Guinness Book of Records (okie…maybe not). But I must say, nothing beats f.r.i.e.n.d.s. :D They are absolutely hilarious. They are just the loveliest.

I think I would rate f.r.i.e.n.d.s as one of the most successful sitcom ever made. I mean, all 6 of them have created characters that will be long remembered by anyone who has watched f.r.i.e.n.d.s. In fact, I realize that when they act in other movies, they sometimes bring their characters along with them, saying phrases that was once said in one of the episodes in f.r.i.e.n.d.s. Maybe that’s them. Hmmmm…

Star World is now doing a rerun on season 9 & 10 every weekday from 8pm – 9pm, 2 episodes back to back. I came to realize today that it’s nice to watch sitcoms every now and then, especially those you enjoy, coz it would make you laugh. I was laughing my ass off today watching the episode where Emma turns 1. They are just a group of crazieeee ppl. :)

Ahhh… I believe all of us have friends who are pretty much like these 6 ppl. Come to think of it, it’s awesome if we have friends like this. ;)

Falling in love with your best friend

I was watching one of the reruns of ‘Friends’ and they were showing this episode where Chandler was proposing to Monica (or rather Monica proposing to Chandler). Anyway, Monica said that she’s lucky to have fallen in love with one of her best friends. And I think she’s right. How often can we tell ppl that our other half is not just our lover, but also our best friend, the friend you can always go to for advice, the friend you can joke and tease with, the friend that will always be there for you?

But how often does this happen? Hmmm…I don’t know. But I think it’s one of the most beautiful relationship one can ever hope for. I think it’s just rare to have this type of relationship. Oh well…

Friends is now on Star World, Channel 711 everyday from 8pm to 9pm. Among all the sitcoms that I’ve seen, I think Friends is the best. Hats off to the 6 of them. They definitely have this chemistry going on in there to make this show a huge success!

Sometimes a small gesture goes a long way. You’ll never know when a simple phrase or a smile can make someone else’s day. I know coz I’ve experience it.

Thanks to the ppl who are actually bothered to even read this blog and to those who have leave their comments. You have no idea how some of your words have made my day. At times, I do feel like I’m all alone, but words of wisdom from some of you really do make my day.

More amazingly are the ppl you don’t know in person, but you have be-friended through the internet by reading blogs. Somehow or rather, they were there for you in times of needs of support. Thank you – you know who you are. ;)

Well, you’ll never know when your smile or a pat on someone’s back would help make their day. I’ve been honored to have the priviledge of knowing great ppl around me and honestly, I thank you all for that. Being all emo, I sometimes have my really downright sad moments. When someone, (it can also be a total stranger) comes along and gives you a warm smile, you instantly know that, hey…things need not be as bad as you think.

how true are ur friends?

Have you ever wondered how true your friends really are? Are they all trustworthy? Do they really treat u like a friend? Do they appreciate u as a friend? Or are they just a bunch of really good actors and actresses? I don’t know, coz I can’t read the minds of people. Nevertheless, u can tell if someone is a true friend.

I was also wondering about the fact when your friend says “KEEP IN TOUCH!”, do they mean it or did they just say that out of courtesy and because it’s only POLITE to say that? I just find it strange when ppl would say things that they don’t mean…or should I say, friends for that matter. Then they give reasons that they are busy with their work etc. How busy can a person be? Work 24/7 without stop? No rest? Is it IMPOSSIBLE to take 5 mins off work time just to send an email saying, HI? I once felt disappointed…but I guess it is true what they say about friends. U can have tons and tons of them, but only a few are true friends.

I have some friends who are really sincere…and I sure am glad I got to know them. They are people you believe in, and people who are there when u need them. They aren’t perfect, but at least they are there when u need them. They will always be in your mind as you would think of them occassionally. You would want to care for them, and they would do the same in return. It’s the kind of love that friends give.

I guess you can only tell if a friend is true AFTER a while. U can then feel if they are true or if they aren’t. You can then tell if what they say about keeping in touch is true or not. But then again, why do we need tons of friends when a few true ones are more than enough? ^_^
