I love Christmas. I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I simply love Christmas. From the decorations to the warm and magical feeling the season brings to the wonderful songs. Oh, love ‘em Christmas songs.
My all time favorite Christmas song has got to be, The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire). Best. It is so awesome to a point where I can never get sick of the song. I cannot think of any songs of the current that can beat the simplicity and the greatness of the melody and the lyrics in this song. Lovely.
Thanks to a particular someone, I am now superbly addicted to this song; Feliz Navidad. Especially this version by North Point’s iBand. The song arrangement was superb and it was absolutely entertaining just to watch them perform. Brilliant work.
I have to know the apps that were used in this video, especially that singing robot (too cute!). After much googling, we finally found it. Reid Greven, the Associate Music Director of the band keeps a blog and he wrote a post, listing out the apps that were used. How exciting! I immediately download the Bebot app and started to play with it. I was definitely super excited.
And here’s what I believe would be the settings for Bebot to sing Feliz Navidad.
Double tap the little arrow located at the bottom right of the screen.
Make the necessary settings as follow; super simple.
The preset is set as Bebot. Next, tap on scale and ensure that the scale is set at C major. After that’s set, tap on scale settings and zoom in a little so that the grids can cover up to E (at least 3 strings after the top yellow line). Tap on the string to check the range. If it’s too low, just tap on the ‘+’ sign on the far left of the screen. You should be on the right note range with just one tap. Tap on back/close to close the setting page.
Now you’re ready to make your Bebot sing!
Wheeeee! I’m not sure if there are any other hidden settings that I am not aware of, but I think with this setting, one will be able to play Feliz Navidad like the Bebot player in the video. Let me know if I missed out any important settings.
Again, hats off to the people in the North Point iBand. Absolutely awesome. *salute*
Is there really a guy who is of an exception? You know, the one who gets away with giving crazy reasons to you only to have you accept them and trust them? The one whom you love with an open heart, risking a chance of getting hurt, but still, even if your heart is broken, you still continue loving him? The one whom is worthy of every sacrifices you are willing to make?
I’ve read somewhere that it is extremely difficult to find a guy that is of an exception. Coz most guys aren’t. Although we want to believe they are, they aren’t. They are just like any typical guy. Not an exception. Or at least not a guy that is worthy of all the craziness of love.
But then again, I’m still gonna believe that love exist. And that guy is the only exception.
p/s: I love this song. Says a lot. Listen to the lyrics.
Not to give up under any circumstances should be the motto of our life: I shall try again and again, and I am bound to succeed. There will be obstacles, but I have to defy the obstacles.
Sri Chinmoy
I am still trying. I am defying all these obstacles as much as I can. I am trying to shake off the petty things and focus on the ultimate goal. I am still waiting. I feel if I ever stop, that means I give up. I don’t want to give up. I don’t want to give up on something that may be right.
But then there is still a limit.
A friend sent me this song earlier today. We both agree that most girls just want their guy to feel like that for them, just like the lyrics written in this song. Nothing fancy, nothing materialistic – just love. But love is the hardest thing to find eh?
*silent sigh*
I’ve got an angel
She doesn’t wear any wings
She wears a heart that can melt my own
She wears a smile that can make me wanna sing
She gives me presents
With her presence alone
She gives me everything I could wish for
She gives me kisses on the lips just for coming home
She could make angels
I’ve seen it with my own eyes
You gotta be careful when you’ve got good love
Cause the angels will just keep on multiplying
But you’re so busy changing the world
Just one smile can change all of mine
We share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh
We Share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh
We Share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh
Umm umm umm uhhhhhhmm
It is inevitable to have doubts in the decisions we make in our lives. We don’t know how certain things would turn out. Especially when one’s brain is all cluttered with confusion, doubts and sadness, the road ahead would not seem so bright after all. It would have been very likely to get lost.
Like me.
I’m still gonna have faith that things will turn out right. And…
And maybe someday
We’ll figure all this out
Try to put an end to all our doubt
Try to find a way to make things better now and
Maybe someday we’ll live our lives out loud
We’ll be better off somehow
Someday
…and I’ll find that someday where I’ll live my life out loud. I hope you will too.
Yes, you.
p/s: Sometimes, after waiting too long for that one thing to happen, the feeling of wanting it to happen sort of dies away. Yes, you do feel lost.
Cannot get the question and if your plane fell out of the skies, who would you call with your last goodbye? out of my head. Something I constantly think about once the plane takes off. I’m sure I’ll be thinking about this again when the plane takes off at 0805.
We’ve only got 86 400 seconds in a day to turn it all around or to throw it all away, we gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em when we got a chance to say.
Gotta live like we’re dying.
Yea. If only certain people will see it this way. You never know a good thing ’til it’s gone.
There is this one person whom you are willing to love for the rest of your life. That person is the one person whom you are willing to sacrifice for. The sacrifices that is made appears to be illogical to the friend standing next to you. This person is the one person that is showered with nothing but all the love you can give, whole-heartedly. In spite of all the endless stuff and countless amount of love you have showered upon this person, the only thing you want to do is to love this person even more and to do even more than what you have already done. You come to a point to realize that you can accept the whole package of this person — the good and the bad. Everything. No complains (perhaps only minimal ranting). Even after knowing the craziest and the most ridiculous nonsensical habit this person owns, you are still loving every little bit of this person. Not just for now, but for the rest of your living life — 50 years and more. The best part of all of this is, this person whom you have sacrificed for sacrifices for you the same way as you did, indicating that you are that one person in that person’s life too.
-me
Question now is, do you believe in the one? I think I still do. Deep down inside, I believe that in a person’s lifetime, you will only meet this person once; the person you will love with all your might and all you’ve got. If things doesn’t work out, you know for a fact that life ends there. The subsequent person you meet will never get the experience the love you’ve given to the one. I don’t think it’s coz you ran out of love or this next person is not worth-it. I guess it’s just coz deep down inside, you know that this next person is not the one.
Believing in the one can be quite hurtful and tough at times, especially if you think you’re letting go of the one. You know perfectly well that there’ll be no life after the one leaves, which again, is tough.
I believe in the one. The one you can love and want to love for the rest of your life, even if this person sometimes drives you mad and up the wall. It’s crazy, I know. But I think that person exists; not just for me, but for everyone out there. I just know.
The notebook guy exists. Gotta keep having faith. *wink*
p/s: The video clip to the song life after you. Loving every bit of this song — and Daughtry. Listen to the lyrics. It’s most brilliant. Explains everything about me believing in the one.
There will always be this one place only we would know, a place where we will go of which we call our own. A place where you fear nothing when holding me close.
I love this song — Somewhere Only We Know (Keane); gives me hope that there’ll always be this place where I can go back to.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I’ve been dreaming of?
Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go somewhere only we know?
Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So, why don’t we go somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go somewhere only we know?
