It has been 2 days since the Bersih rally. Tons of videos of the rally have been posted on Facebook and Twitter, flooding my timeline. But to be honest, I haven’t had the guts to watch any of the videos. I guess I wasn’t ready to feel the pain.

Having said that, I was glad I click the play button to this video.

It showed us all nothing but the truth that happened on July 9, 2011. I was disgusted by how our citizens were being treated by the police. It was tragic. This group of trained policemen, who holds the responsibility of protecting the safety of us citizens have turned their backs on us when we didn’t come close to doing anything wrong, beating us up inappropriately and folding their arms when a man of no threat was injured. They have brought nothing but shame to our beloved country. It almost felt like they haven’t got any compassion within them, only anger.

As mentioned in my previous post, I believe that there’s nothing wrong with Bersih. There’s nothing wrong with pleading for fairness. There’s nothing wrong with doing a peaceful rally with regards to this matter. The only reason why the authorities were so worked up is simply because they are afraid that the truth will be unveiled. All the lies our leaders have spoken of this situation have been nothing but disgusting. They are making a complete fool out of themselves and yet, till this very moment, they have not realized that fact. It is really sad.

The greed for money and fame and the temptation of possessing power decides to knock on some of our leaders’ doors one day, and that’s when our leaders were sucked into this stage of illusion that all of the above are good, where they lose their brains, leading to stupidity and moronic behaviors, where they will LIE for all of the above. This, is the faces of our leaders. The leaders that are supposed to lead us to a better future. But have they done their job?

At this point of time, after knowing all the ridiculous lies that have been told, how does one bring themselves to vote and support the government? Perhaps they fail to realize that they have made it so much easier for many to choose who to vote for in the next election.

*sigh*

Something I read earlier today moved me. It was written by a girl who went to the rally just to look around. Now, this is what I call a true 1Malaysia story. If only our leaders would see things from our eyes.

I am still a Malaysian. Though I feel much shame for our leaders to behave as such and I’m sad that this has got to happen, Malaysia is still where my home is. Let’s just pray that righteousness will be unveiled soon enough.

What is wrong with Bersih?

For the past week or so, there has been tons of news featured in the papers and the internet about the Bersih rally. Reading all of these news has reiterate my thoughts about the Malaysian government; the government is made up of a bunch of idiotic morons.

*sigh*

It is sad to be honest. It is sad to know that my beloved country is led by morons. No wonder Malaysia hasn’t been going anywhere for the past decade. The comments and the actions that have been imposed by the government on the Bersih activities have created nothing but negative vibes among the citizens of Malaysia.

Seriously, can someone tell me, what is wrong with Bersih? What is wrong with wanting a fair and clean election? This has nothing to do with race or religion mind you. Nothing. It’s all about the plea from the citizens of wanting a fair and clean election. I’m not even sure if the anti-Bersih clan knows what they are going against. You don’t want no fair election you say? I didn’t know you didn’t want fairness, anti-Bersih clan. How interesting.

So what is wrong with Bersih? Oh, right! I completely forgot that if the election is clean and fair, our current government may not win! Ahhh… that sums it all up doesn’t it?

Jeez.

Arresting people dressed in yellow clothing, blocking the roads causing massive traffic jams, making Bersih rally illegal but was not seen making the anti-Bersih rally illegal, making false accusation about weapons that will be used, and the argument stated doesn’t even make the slightest sense; all these actions will only tick people off. It makes my blood boil! It’s not just because of the stupid actions and comments, but the fact that the government actually believes that such childish moves will stop the citizens from going to the rally! Are they out of their mind?

:|

Mr Prime Minister, if it is not too much for me to ask of you right now, is there a possibility for you to wake up right now? Open your eyes and see what’s going on, use your brains to evaluate the entire situation and think of a solution that make sense, before you speak to the public. Also, use that 2 ears of yours and listen. Listen to what the citizens of Malaysia has got to say before you make silly comments. And while you’re at that, train those people who work under you to do the same.

I don’t see anything wrong with Bersih. Unless if they start to threaten the safety of the country with weapons or such, let them be. By stopping all of these and making false accusations, the government is simply making matters worse. It is bad enough that we all know the election is not entirely clean, but now, that bad has become worse. The world is now looking at us. Please don’t make any stupid moves. Really.

Oh and one more thing Mr Prime Minister, we, the citizens of Malaysia are not dumb nor are we stupid or brainless. Please don’t do or say things that would make us look like idiots. Thank you.

For those proceeding to the Bersih assembly, be safe. I don’t wish for any tragic incident to come out of this to begin with.

p/s: For non registered voters, shut up. If you’re not a registered voter, don’t start by commenting that you are all for the Bersih thing. Take the first step and do your part by registering as a voter first. If you don’t register, you are simply denying your rights to vote for the future of Malaysia. So even if you rally, it wouldn’t make a difference.

oh Malaysia, are you sick?

It has come to my attention that Malaysia is getting sicker by the day. Main factor to this everlasting illness of our beloved country; our people. Sick to the very core.

It is sometimes sad to see how the insignificant development of Malaysia since I could remember. We were supposedly one of the leaders for SEA countries, but somehow or rather, we are now falling behind. In an article I read a year ago, our country was being compared to Cambodia by foreign investors. I thought we have surpassed them by a huge lot! How could it be possible that we are compared with them and not countries like Singapore or Thailand?

Having the need to read crazy news like the discrimination over boys who are more in-touch with their feminine side makes me wanna puke. The intention of setting up this boot camp for sissies is said to be trying to guide the students to proper path in life. Just because they are slightly more feminine does not mean they are going down the improper path. Why is it so difficult for certain people to simply accept that some of these boys are just born with more feminine genes? In fact, what’s wrong with being who you want to be, if that’s truly who you are? What is that person suppose to do if he or she is born gay? Kill themselves?

Really, since when did Malaysia got so low? Or have we always been that low?

And then there’s the 1 Malaysia email. I don’t see the needs of starting this project in the first place. What good is it to have a 1 Malaysia email when most of us who needs email have already had one or more emails? Besides, will news from the political world be more transparent to us, since its purpose is to provide the latest news and info to the people with this email? In addition to that, have anyone thought about the security and how big of a security issue it would become should any of the peoples’ personal information got leaked out? I mean seriously. Why is it that they can’t think of anything better to do but this. And Najib can’t see what the big fuss is all about. He’s probably blind. Private sector project? Like anyone who’s living in Malaysia will believe him. Jeez. Also, wouldn’t the RM50m be of better use if the government were to use it to improve existing infrastructures like the pathetic broadband that we have?

As I’ve mentioned before, doing things like this doesn’t make the 1 Malaysia concept work. I sometimes cannot believe the level of stupidity which the leaders of our country possess. The level can go up to infinity and beyond.

Sigh.

I wonder what’s next. I can’t wait for the next general election. I wonder what sort of monkey act will some of the politicians do.

to buy a house in Penang

…is close to impossible. *sigh*. RM550k in 2009? What about 2010? I bet it’s a whopping RM600k and above. Or maybe more!

I’ve always thought that the price of house in Penang are a little on the higher end, as compared to the houses in KL. I’ve been making apple to apple comparison; similar type of location, similar size, similar amenities, etc. and the price seems to be always higher in Penang. I’ve always thought I might be wrong when making such comparison until I read the news on last Friday’s Star newspaper, with the headlines, “Penang houses are just ‘not affordable’”. The comparison was true.

Everyone knows that the cost of living in general are increasing at a rapid pace that any ordinary salary earner would find things to be more expensive; e.g. food, clothing. The thing with Penang is, the pricing of the houses are increasing at an even rapid pace, to an extend that Penangnites may not be able to own a house. Makes me feel that my monthly salary is so puny. :(

Is Penang going to be like Hong Kong when it comes to real estate? I wouldn’t be surprise if it did.

All these million ringgit supercondos and bungalows are built to cater for foreign investors. I am sure the developers know that a normal salary earner would not be able to afford to buy a million ringgit house. Yet, more and more supercondos are being developed. Now, my question is, can the government intervene and do something about this? Or are they simply doing this together with the developers for the money? Ultimately, for the developers, it is all about the money. It has nothing to do with the welfare of the Penangnites. What about the government? Are they in it for the money as well?

*sigh*

I believe this is a bubble. Question is, will this bubble burst? If yes, when? A year from now? 10 years? Or maybe, never in my lifetime? Got to think of alternatives to get that money.

Argh.

Church burned down — what’s next?

Would have God agreed for anyone in this face of the Earth to do something as sickening and childish as burning down a Church over a reason that I think would not have caused any life threatening issues to any community at all? No.

*sigh*

To read such a gruesome news this morning made me sick. Knowing that this crazy incident happened in Malaysia only made me sicker. What is wrong with us humans? Have we got nothing better to do than to dwell over some translation issue? Rate of poverty is still on the high, people are still unemployed due to the recent economic recession, the Earth is coming to an end with global warming issues, and all we can think about is burning a Church down? Seriously!

I’ve always believe that no matter what religion you embrace, be it Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Islam etc. not one religion will teach you to belittle another religion. Not one (unless anyone knows of any teachings that teaches you to belittle other religion, do let me know). It’s all about respect. Is it really that difficult to respect another person if that person does not believe in the same religious teaching as you do? Do we really have to continue living in a world where we will always draw a distinct line, differentiating one group of ppl from another when it boils down to the discussion of religion? Even if we were to come to a point of total disagreement when discussing on certain religious issue, is it really necessary to burn down a holy place?

*sigh*

It’s just disappointing. Like I say earlier, it makes me really sick knowing that this happened in Malaysia. I know it’s wrong to say this but I just have to;

1Malaysia my ass!

*sigh*

drowning polar

Thanks to the increase of global temperature, polar bears up north are drowning.

Ice are melting. The bears have got no place to go.

Some say humans have got nothing to do with this – humans are not responsible for global warming. Some who lives at the North Pole (probably next to Santa) say the claims by environmentalist and a part of the society that ice is depleting is all bullshit. There are more polar bears to go around for everyone than it has been many years ago.

If it is a bunch of crap and all this claims are wrong, can someone explain this video footage? :(

Drowning polars are just one of the many result from global warming.

Tell me, how can you not save these cute polar bears?

p/s: If you are planning to participate in Earth Hour, it means that you are VOTING to FIGHT GLOBAL WARMING. Hence, it’s not just about turning off your lights for that ONE HOUR. ONE HOUR doesn’t mean anything. Try calculating your carbon footprint and see how much you’re actually contributing to this climate change. If you’re not going to try and ease those carbon emission in the future,  pls don’t turn off your lights tonight. It wouldn’t make much of a difference. You’re just giving ppl who wants to save mother Earth false hope.

hike of the crime-o-meter

My dear friend Azrena (who is also known as Rena Cullen and she’s probably busy playing with wordpress right now) recently got robbed at knifepoint. Yesterday, while reading her blog, I got to know that another friend of hers who lives in the same neighborhood as her was robbed. Today… another lady was robbed — in the same freaking neighborhood. 3 cases in like a week. Pure madness.

These stories brought back traumatizing memories from a year ago when I was mugged. Click here and here to read the story. I was really traumatized by the incident. I got so paranoid when I go to the banks or when I’m walking alone — even though it has been a year.

In the case of Rena Cullen’s mugging, it’s not just her alone. She had her kids strapped in the car during the incident. It was most definitely a horrifying incident. I mean imagine if the bastards were to drive the kids off in her car. That would have been madness. Thank God things were okie! *hugs for Rena Cullen*

I guess there is a strong correlation between economic turmoil and the hike of the crime-o-meter. Everything now is about surviving another day. Ppl start robbing otheres coz they have no money and is in the mode of desperation. It’s not right, but to some ppl, it’s the only way of surviving now.

Hence, the world is not safe. I got so paranoid by the incident that I daren’t go to the bank at KHTP earlier today despite the need of getting money. Kulim is so unsafe now. And I have to go there for work everyday (well… except Friday… :P ). Crime rates are just getting out of hand. I’m sure it’s not just in Kulim.

Scary… :(

Inauguration Speech – Jan 20, 2009

I thought his speech was marvelous. So much passion, so much power… it is truly inspiring. I was moved. Obama has given a new definition to the word hope. He most definitely brought hope to a whole new level.

Listen to the speech. It is a pretty long one. But it is most definitely worth listening.
