Is it true that in this crazy little world of ours, our success in life is judged upon the amount of materialized objects or items that we own? Is it true that our success in life is judged upon the organization we work for? Do you think you are more superior than others should you be working for a multimillion dollar organization? Do you think you are relatively more successful than the guy standing next to you if you drive a BMW 5 series at an age which is relatively young?
What happens if we were to all strip naked? If we were to strip off that Armani suit we have on, if we were to throw away that Gucci bag we were carrying, if we were to smash that BMW 5 series we were driving, if we were to quit that job we have at that multimillion dollar organization, would we be any different from the person that is standing next to us? Are we not the same judging by appearance? Are we not only humans?
Some people will never fail to amaze me. It is most amazing to meet people who think they are more superior than others simply because they are working in this great multimillion dollar company. It is most amazing to meet people who thinks that they will always be smarter than others simply because they are part of this supposedly great company. It is most amazing to meet people that think they are making a really smart move by making supposedly smart remarks when really, they are just making a huge fool out of themselves. It is most amazing to me that some people only look at the flaws of others but not themselves and think that they are only perfect. It is most amazing that these people fail to realize that they are no different from the person standing next to them by the street. We are all only humans.
The success of a human’s life is not judged upon who that person work for, or what materials that person own. It doesn’t matter. So what if you have a BMW 5 series? So what if you’re wearing an Armani suit? So what if you work for a multimillion dollar company? So what if you have an IQ of a genius? How successful can one be, if one has all of those but has got no love, no family, no friends? How smart can a person get if they think reading a technical paper beats spending quality time with their kids?
How superior and smart can a person be if they cannot even understand that ultimately, power, status, money and materialized objects are not important in life?
We are all the same from the outside when we strip ourselves naked. What makes us different is what’s inside. That’s what matters.
If only more of us would realize this fact.
