You know how we always say that humans will never be satisfied with what they have? Hence, they are never happy with their life? That they always wish they had more? However, if these humans were to understand what they want and what their goals in life are, wouldn’t achieving those goals satisfy them, leading them to be happy with their life?
I know at least for some of us that statement would have been true.
We have to know what we want in life. If we don’t, what good would living life be for us? We’ll just be a bunch of zombie-like humans, doing all the routine stuff we do daily, with no aim whatsoever of what we want to achieve at the end of the day (or our life for that matter). If one has no aim, even if he or she were to have the capability to buy a RM1.5m house and own it, he or she wouldn’t exactly feel contented. For all you know, that may not be something that he or she wants! How is this person gonna be happy then?
If humans were to free themselves from greed, aim for what seems feasible for them, I bet we humans will lead a happier life. I bet there will be less whining and more smiling. Even if it means giving up certain things in order for that aim in life to happen. Sacrifices made would have been sweeter than ever.
I know what I want in life. I’m not entirely happy coz I’m not quite there yet. It doesn’t make me less grateful for what I already have. Let me assure you that the aims I have in life is something very very achievable. But like I say, I’m just not quite there yet. I know that if that goal is realized, I will be the happiest person alive. I can’t ask for more than that. People who knows me will know that I’m never always sure about the things I want, but this aim in life is something I’m very sure about.
Again, just 2 cents of my thought.
Gotta keep that faith going.
